The 210 Fleet

The Gull Lake International 210 Fleet maintains a very active racing schedule with races every Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer as well as a very popular Fall Series in September. Two or three times each year, fleet social events are held either at the club or at members' homes.

The Flying Scot Fleet

The Gull Lake Scot Fleet evolved from the Rebel Fleet, established by Max and Mary Doolittle in 1955. They bought the first Gull Lake Scot, 'It'll Doo', in 1960 and the Flying Scot became a common sight on the waters of Gull Lake. Max and Mary have both served as officers of the Flying Scot Sailing Association and their leadership, willingness to share their knowledge and passion for the Scot have influenced many young sailors over the years (some of whom are now not so young).

The J-24 Fleet

The Gull Lake J-24 fleet has a small but active base. The fleet is comprised of 3 boats that are out all the time. The fleet history dates back 15 years and has had up to 6 J-24's at one time. The fleet consistently crews one boat for away regattas. The goal is to grow that to two travel crews. Over the past few years the J-24 fleet has raced in the J-24 NA, Lake Geneva Fall Regatta, and the Muskegon Spring Regatta. The fleet is actively looking for additional skippers and crew as an extra boat or two does exist.

The Snipe Fleet

Gull Lake Yacht Club is home to Snipe Fleet #190. The fleet races weekly on Saturday mornings (10 AM) and hosts the annual Gull Lake Open during the first weekend in August. In 1995, GLYC was the venue for the Snipe District 3 Championships (42 boats) and in 1997 hosted the U.S. Snipe Masters Championship (28 boats).

The Star Fleet

The Gull Lake Star Fleet is the oldest active fleet in the Club, dating from 1931.

The Cruiser Fleet

In the mid-70's the Cruising Class was formed so the small cruisers on Gull Lake could race in club events.
